Structural Concrete Mixes
Reinforced concrete is concrete in which reinforcement bars ("rebars"), reinforcement grids, plates or fibers have been incorporated to strengthen the concrete in tension. It was invented by French gardener Joseph Monier in 1849 and patented in 1867. The term Ferro Concrete refers only to concrete that is reinforced with iron or steel. Other materials used to reinforce concrete can be organic and inorganic fibres as well as composites in different forms. Prior to the invention of reinforcement, concrete was strong in compression, but weak in tension. Adding reinforcement crucially increases the strength in tension. The failure strain of concrete in tension is so low that the reinforcement has to hold the cracked sections together.

Ready Mix Concrete
A centralized concrete batching plant can serve a wide area. Ready mix concrete delivery trucks can serve a larger area including remote locations that standard trucks can not. The plants are located in areas zoned for industrial use, and yet the delivery trucks can service residential districts or inner cities. Site Mix trucks have the same capabilities. Better quality concrete is produced. Site Mix can produce higher compression strength with less water then standard batching methods. Elimination of storage space for basic materials at site. Standard Batch plant need more room for their operation than Site Mix trucks. Elimination of procurement / hiring of plant and machinery wastage of basic materials is avoided. With a Site Mix truck, there is less waste and wash out. This is better for the environment. Labor associated with production of concrete is eliminated. It takes more people to operate a standard batch plant than a Mobile Mix truck. Time required is greatly reduced. One Mobile mix truck can produce 8 yards of concrete in 8 minutes. It can also operate continuously without needing to be moved away from the pump truck. One Mobile mix truck can produce 460 yards of concrete in an 8 hour shift. Where standard trucks must stop and move off the pump to bring in the next truck. So to deliver the same amount of concrete it will take nearly 3 more hours with a standard truck. This will increase labor cost.
Masonry cement is a special blended cement that is mixed in specific proportions with sand and water to form a strong binding mortar. This mortar is notable for its strength, durability, aesthetic appeal and resistance to atmospheric and chemical deterioration. It is widely used for mortar and stucco work in stonework, block and brick masonry, but is not considered suitable strength-wise for concrete masonry.
Originally, masonry cements were created as time-saving, more reliable alternatives to on-site preparations of Portland cement and hydrated lime. They are a blend of Portland cement clinker, limestone or hydraulic lime filler and various additives. This blend is manufactured under controlled conditions in cement factories.
Masonry cement is also checked and tested to ensure it conforms to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard specifications for masonry cement. The additives added in the manufacturing process give the masonry cement durability as well as water-repellent and coloring properties. Masonry cements of different properties are used for different kinds of masonry works.
The ASTM classifies masonry cements into three main types, Type N, Type S and Type M. Type N masonry cement is used to prepare general purpose mortars that can be used in the construction of non-load bearing and exterior veneer walls. Type S and Type M masonry cements are used in mortars for load bearing structures as well as below grade level and paving masonry. Mortar Cement
